Victoria Jennings is a PhD candidate in the History of Art and Architecture Department at UCSB where she specializes in deviant burial and religious practices of Ancient Rome. Victoria has a background in museum practices of collecting, housing, and displaying human remains, along with national and international repatriation-related issues. She holds a MA (2020, UCSB) in History of Art and Architecture and a BA (2017, UCLA) in art history, with a minor in anthropology. Her current work in the Repository for Archaeological and Ethnographic Collections entails overseeing the development and organization of the collection database; archival and curatorial preservation of material; performance of all IT support; drafting federal notices, inventories, and summaries; and holding of extensive knowledge on repatriation literature, NAGPRA and CalNAGPRA policy and language.
