Britt Holguin is a PhD student in the Anthropology Department at UCSB. Her research focuses on advancing isotopic databases in the forensic anthropological field in order to improve human identification efforts. Britt has a background in California Channel Islands and Santa Barbara mainland archaeology, and holds an MSc in Forensic Anthropology. Her current work in the Repository for Archaeological and Ethnographic Collections entails overseeing all human osteological identification; performing curatorial duties and maintenance; drafting federal notices, inventories and summaries; and ensuring compliance with federal and state NAGPRA guidelines.
